This presentation, designed for those who manage requests for additional insured endorsements, will begin with a review of some ISO CGL policy basics, including:

Who has automatic coverage under the ISO CGL policy?

What coverage is provided for “insured” contracts?

Given the broad contractual coverage included in the CGL policy, what purpose does any Additional Insured Endorsement serve?

Beyond this refresher, we’ll look at some specific ISO AI Endorsements related to construction contracts, focusing on what they are intended to do, what are the limitations, what changes have been made to the form language with the most recent edition. We’ll also review some much needed relatively new ISO AI endorsements that fill some gaps. Since we cannot possibly discuss all the various form changes made in the most recent update, I’ll direct you to an additional resource where you can find that information.
